RUDSET TO IMPART TRAINING IN FIVE COURSES FROM JANUARY TO MAKE YOUNGSTERS SELF-EMPLOYED

JALANDHAR, DECEMBER 21 (News Hunt)- With a view to making youngsters self-dependent on employment front, the Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSET) is all set to start training program for next quarter from January 2022 in five courses included mobile repair, AC/refrigerator, men parlour saloon, fast food stall and fashion designing.

Disclosing this here today, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jaspreet Singh said that the RUDSET would impart the training to aspirants to enable them self-dependent on employment front by unveiling their own ventures. He also reviewed the status for courses to be initiated for next quarter besides finalizing the annual action plan from 2022-23.

While presiding over the District Level RUDSETI Advisory Committee’s meeting here at District Administrative Complex, Jaspreet Singh said that any candidate could fill the form by visiting the institute Vijay Nagar near Football Chowk or apply online at www.rudsetitraining.org to get enrolled for the training. It was also informed that during the previous quarter a total 175 trainees got training in refrigeration and air-conditioning, jute products udyami, beauty parlor management, men parlour & saloon udyami and cell phone repair & service. He said that of these 122 were settled besides holding 11 entrepreneur awareness programs. He said that as per the target given by the National Centre for Excellence of RSETIs a total 565 candidates are to be given training by March 31, 2022.

The RUDSET has also chalked out annual action plan for 2022-23, which envisaged that training would be provided to total 750 candidates in different 25 courses. Pertinently, candidates between the age group of 18 to 45 years can get the training in various courses free of cost to become self-reliant on employability with a facility of free accommodation and food to the trainees. After training, the candidates can also get the credit linkage from banks to initiate their ventures.

Prominent amongst those present in the meeting included Divisional Manager Canara Bank Ranjan Kumar, State Director RSETI Charanjit Singh, Lead Bank Manager Jai Bhushan, Deputy General Manager NABARD Savita Singh, Manager DIC Manjit Lally, Assistant Public Relations Officer Sangeeta Bhamra, District Guidance Counsellor Surjit Lal, Deputy CEO DBEE Deepak Bhalla and Director RUDSET Tarun Kumar Sethi.
