Jalandhar, March 9 (News Hunt)- With district administration finalizing the arrangements for the counting of the votes, the stage was all set for the completion of the counting of votes for the all nine assembly segments of Jalandhar.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Ghanshyam Thori said that elaborate arrangements have been made for ensuring free, fair and transparent counting of votes for the assembly polls.

While reviewing the final arrangements put in place, the DC said that adequate arrangements for security and counting of the votes have been done by the civil and Police administration. He also said that no stone would be left unturned for ensuring that the entire process was completed peacefully.

Minimum 13 and maximum 18 rounds of counting would be held, he said adding that keeping in view Covid-19 pandemic, as many as 14 counting tables have been set up this time for each assembly segment. He further mentioned that two counting halls have also been set up for the counting. Mr. Thori said that votes of five Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines from each assembly segment would be counted separately after the counting of votes from Electronic Voting Machines.

He also said that the EVM and VVPAT machines were constantly under CCTV surveillance and three-tier security was being provided to it by the state Police, Punjab Armed Police and Para Military Force. Likewise they said that in order to ensure law and order situation outside the counting halls, Rapid Action Force, Quick Response Team, and others along with the Riot Control Vehicle have been deployed. He said that strict vigil was being kept to maintain law and order at every cost.

Pertinently, the counting of votes would take place simultaneously at all the counting halls from 8am. He said that for the Phillaur assembly constituency counting centre has been set up at the girls’ hostel of Meritorious School, Kapurthala Road. Likewise, hall no one and two of state patwar school would be counting centre Nakodar assembly segment, followed by first floor of building of director land record, government sports and arts college, Kapurthala Road for Shahkot and Assembly constituencies respectively.

Similarly, Gymnasium hall of sports college, new building of Director land records complex has been earmarked as counting centres for Jalandhar West and Jalandhar Central assembly constituencies, he said adding that for Jalandhar North boys hostel of Meritorious School while pavilion hall of government arts and sports college would be used as counting centre for Jalandhar Cantt constituency. For Adampur constituency the counting centre would be set up at the indoor stadium of the government arts and sports college.

ਖੇਤਰੀ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਚੰਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਚਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

JALANDHAR, MARCH 9 (News Hunt)- Deputy Commissioner-Cum-District Election Officer Ghanshyam Thori today said that the Election Commission of India has banned all victory processions after the counting, thereby, the candidates participating in the elections must strictly abide by the guidelines issued by the ECI.

Divulging the details, the DC said that the ECI in its directions has prohibited any kind of victory procession on or after counting adding that strict action would be taken against those found violating these guidelines. He also said that any kind of negligence in this regard would be dealt with strictly. The ECI has also restricted the number of persons to accompany the winning candidates while receiving their certificates as only two persons can accompany the candidate or his/her authorized representative during issuing of certificate of election. The DEO further asked all the nine Returning Officers to ensure strict compliance of these orders while surveillance teams have also been deputed by the administration to keep a watch over any kind of violation.

The Deputy Commissioner also reiterated his commitment for free, fair and transparent elections as elaborate arrangements have already been put in place to achieve this goal. He said that keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic, this year two counting halls have been set up for each assembly constituency.

जालंधर, 8 मार्च 2022 (न्यूज़ हंट)- डिप्टी कमिशनर घनश्याम थोरी ने आज रायजादा हंसराज बेडमिंटन स्टेडियम में पांच परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने 30 लाख की लागत से तैयार जिन नई परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया उनमें रेस्टेरेंट, योग व एरोबिक्स सेंटर, खेल दुकान, फिजियोथैरेपी सेंटर व सैल्फी प्वाइंट शामिल हैं। जिला बेडमिंटन एसोसिएशन जालन्धर के इतिहास में यह पहली बार हुआ है कि जब रायजादा हंसराज स्टेडियम में इतने उच्च स्तर पर अपग्रेडेशन का काम किया गया है।

अपने उद्बोधन में डिप्टी कमिशनर व डीबीए के अध्यक्ष श्री घनश्याम थोरी ने सराहनीय कार्यों के लिए अंतरिम कमेटी की प्रशंसा की। श्री थोरी ने प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि रायजादा हंसराज बेडमिंटन स्टेडियम उच्च स्तर पर हब के तौर पर विकसित हो चुका है। श्री थोरी ने कहा कि यह गर्व का विषय है कि तीन सालों की अल्पावधि में अंतरिम कमेटी के नेतृत्व में रायजादा हंसराज बेडमिंटन स्टेडियम के मौलिक ढांचे में नवीनीकरन की पहल की जा रही है, जो प्रदर्शन सुधार व खिलाडिय़ों के कौशल को गति प्रदान करने के लिए वचनबद्ध है। इस अवसर पर श्री थोरी ने डीबीए जालन्धर के आजीवन सदस्यों को सदस्यता कार्ड भी वितरित किए। इन कार्डों से आजीवन सदस्यों को रेस्टोरेंट, योग एवं एयरोबिक्स सेंटर, खेल दुकान, ओलम्पियन दिपांकर एकेडमी एवं फिजियोथैरेपी केन्द्र में रियायती दरों पर सेवाएं मिल सकेंगी।

इस अवसर पर डीबीए के सचिव एवं राष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी श्री रितिन खन्ना ने उन सभी गणमान्यों का आभार जताया जिनके सहयोग से यह परियोजनाएं संभव हो पाईं। इन परियोजनाओं के विवरण पर प्रकाश डालते हुए श्री खन्ना ने कहा कि यह रेस्टोरेंट 20 लाख रूपये की लागत से बन कर तैयार हुआ है, जिसमें से 10 लाख रुपये जालन्धर के केन्द्रीय विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के विधायक श्री राजिन्द्र बेरी व 4.81 लाख रुपये डिप्टी कमिशनर श्री थोरी द्वारा जिला राहत सोसाइटी की मार्फत स्वीकृत किए गए हैं। श्री खन्ना ने कहा कि खाने से संबंधित सभी विषय रेस्टोरेंट के शुरू होने से हल हो जाएंगे जिससे खिलाडिय़ों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। योग एवं एरोबिक सेंटर के बारे श्री खन्ना ने कहा कि पंजाब विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री राणा केपी ने 5 लाख रूपये की ग्रांट स्वीकृत की थी। इस सेंटर का लाभ स्टेडियम में आने वाले खिलाडिय़ों व अन्य लोगों को मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि पहले अभ्यास के दौरान किसी खिलाड़ी के चोटिल हो जाने पर उसके लिए फिजियोथैरेपिस्ट उपलब्ध नहीं रहते थे, अब खिलाडिय़ों को यह सुविधा फिजियोथेरेपी सेंटर में मिल सकेगी। श्री खन्ना ने चौथे प्रोजेक्ट खेलों के सामान की दुकान के बारे बताया कि खिलाड़ी यहां से शटल कॉक्स, बूट, रैकेट, कपड़े व खेलों से संबंधित अन्य सामान खरीद सकेंगे। इससे पहले खिलाड़ी स्पोट्र्स मार्किट से यह सामान खरीदते रहे हैं जो स्टेडियम से काफी दूर है। इसके अतिरिक्त स्टेडियम में सैल्फी प्वाइंट भी स्थापित किया गया है, जो खिलाडिय़ों के लिए आकर्षण का केन्द्र होगा। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिलवाया कि अंतरिम कमेटी खिलाडिय़ों को उच्च स्तर की सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए सदैव प्रयत्नरत रहेगी। उन्होंने इस काम में डिप्टी कमिशनर व कमेटी के सदस्यों द्वारा दिए गए सहयोग की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि स्टेडियम के मौलिक ढांचे में सुधार के काम को भविष्य में भी जारी रखा जाएगा।

Jalandhar, March 8 (News Hunt)- To ensure smooth conduct of counting procedure on March 10, the second traning session was held today for counting staff in the presence of Counting Observer Ajayan C here at HMV College Jalandhar.

While reviewing the traning session, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori directed the entire counting staff including 207 counting supervisors, 207 counting assistants, and 207 micro observers to carry out their duties meticulously and earnestly so that this mammoth exercise could be completed in a smooth and hassle-free manner.

He said that the counting for all nine assembly segments would begin at 8am on March 10, and an elaborate mechanism has already been put in place for free, fair and transparent conduct of counting.

He said that for Phillaur assembly constituency counting centre has been set up at the girls’ hostel of Meritorious School, Kapurthala Road.

Likewise, hall no one and two of state patwar school would be counting centre Nakodar assembly segment, followed by first floor of building of director land record, government sports and arts college, Kapurthala Road for Shahkot and Assembly constituencies respectively.

The DC also said that five different training sites have been set up in the premises of HMV college where traning session for entire counting staff was held. Master trainers imparted proper training to counting staff including haldning of EVM machines and round wise declaration of results. Notably, the Election Commissoon has appointed counting observers for each assembly segments to ensure free, fair and transparent counting procedure.

On the occasion Additional Deputy commissioner Amarjit Bains, Assistant Commissioner OjasviAlankar, Election TehaildarSukhdev Singh, Election Kanoongo Rakesh Kumar, Diatrict Level Master Trainer Karan Sharma, Dr. Harwinder Singh, Assembly Level Master Trainers Suresh Mago, Gulshan Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Amanpratap Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Surinder Sharma, Jatinder Kumar, and Sumit Sharma was present.

JALANDHAR, MARCH 8 (News Hunt)- The second randomisation of counting staff held here today in presence of representatives of political parties where counting observers Dr Saroj Kumar, Bhupendra S Chaudhary, Mr Anil and Mr Anil Jose besides Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori were also present.

District Election Officer Ghanshyam Thori after second randomisation at DAC said that the first randomisation of counting staff was held on March 3 and after today’s second randomisation constituencies had been allotted to the counting officials. Each counting centre will have 21 counting parties (including reserved) and each counting party comprise one counting supervisor, one counting assistant and one micro observer so that the entire counting process could be done transparently and seamlessly. Two halls have been earmarked for each assembly segment for counting of votes, where 7 each (14 tables per constituency) counting tables will be placed.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed that elaborate arrangements had also been made for counting of electronically transmitted postal ballot paper system and postal ballot papers. He said counting tables would be allotted to staff after third randomisation. He reiterated that the entire counting process would be completed in transparent and smooth manner. The counting of votes for Shahkot, Nakodar and Jalandhar Central constituencies would be held in DLRS, State Patwar School and halls DLRS while counting of Adampur and Kartarpur, Jalandhar Cantt and Jalandhar West would take place in Sports College premises whereas votes of Jalandhar North and Phillaur would be counted at Meritorious School premises. He said all adequate arrangements had already been put in place including requisite training to staff, deployment of sufficient staff, security arrangements etc. ADC (G) Amarjit Bains, Election Tehsildar Sukhdev Singh, representatives of political parties were also present.

जालंधर, 8 मार्च (न्यूज़ हंट)- 15 से 18 साल आयु वर्ग के सभी योग्य विद्यार्थियों के समय पर टीकाकरण यकीनी बनाने के मंतव्य के साथ ज़िला प्रशासन की तरफ से आज सभी नोडल अधिकारियों के साथ समीक्षा बैठक करते हुए सरकारी और प्राईवेट स्कूलों में टीकाकरण की प्रगति का जायज़ा लिया गया।

आज यहाँ ज़िला प्रशासकीय कंपलैक्स में नोडल अधिकारियों के साथ समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए अतिरिक्त डिप्टी कमिशनर (शहरी विकास) आशिका जैन और सहायक कमिशनर (यू.टी.) ओजस्वी अलंकार ने नोडल अधिकारियों को कहा कि जिन योग्य विद्यार्थियों का टीकाकरण हो चुका है, उनके कोविड से सर्टिफिकेट डाउनलोड किये जाने यकीनी बनाऐ जाएँ। उन्होंने कहा कि कोई भी योग्य विद्यार्थी टीकाकरण से खाली नहीं रहना चाहिए और टीकाकरण में विद्यार्थियों को सहायता प्रदान करना सम्बन्धित स्कूल कर्तव्य है, जिसके लिए स्कूलों को प्रेरित किया जाना चाहिए।

उन्होंने कहा कि जिन योग्य विद्यार्थियों का अभी तक टीकाकरण नहीं किया गया, उनको कैंपों के द्वारा टीकाकरण की सुविधा मुहैया करवाई जाए,जिससे योग्य विद्यार्थी अपना टीकाकरण करवा सकें। इसके इलावा उन्होंने नोडल अधिकारियों को कहा कि यह भी यकीनी बनाया जाये कि स्कूल अपने विद्यार्थियों के टीकाकरन की स्थिति बारे सर्टिफिकेट ज़रूर जमा करवाए जिससे टीकाकरण से वंचित इस वर्ग के लाभपातरियों को समय पर वैक्सीन की ख़ुराक प्रदान की जा सके।

ज़िक्रयोग्य है कि स्कूलों में टीकाकरण की स्थिति की निगरानी करने के लिए डी.ऐफ.ऐस.सी., ज़िला प्रोगराम अधिकारी और कार्यकारी इंजीनियर जल स्पलाई विभाग सहित सीनियर आधिकारियों को नोडल अधिकारी के तौर पर तैनात किया गया है।

इस अवसर पर ज़िला शिक्षा अधिकारी हरिन्दरपाल सिंह, मुख्य कृषि अधिकारी डा. सुरिन्दर सिंह और अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
