31st State Children Science Congress started in Rayat-Bahra Group of Institute, Hoshiarpur – 138 projects were presented from different districts, 16 projects selected will be sent at the national level: Dr. K.S. Baath

The 31st State Level Children Science Congress started today at Rayat-Bahra Group of Institute, Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, Joint Director of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Dr. K.S. Bath said that Children Science Congress is an event organized every year since 1993 by the Department of Science and Technology.
In which students aged between 10 to 17 years make small research projects and present them at the district and state level. He said that this year on the theme of ‘Understanding Ecosystem for Health and Well Being’, more than 1200 projects have been prepared by the participants from all 23 districts of the state, out of which 138 projects are being presented at the state level. He informed that 16 projects will be selected from the state and sent to participate in the national level event.
On this occasion, participants coming from different districts were registered in the junior and senior categories this morning. Dr. Bath said that today’s student wants to test everything on the basis of science because in the age of science he does not want to remain under any illusion. He told that to further increase the thinking towards science among children, such Children Science Congress has been organized, which is organized from district level to national level, in which thousands of students of the country showcase their talent. He said that new inventions have also become possible because students have come forward in the field of science and made many impossible tasks possible. He said that the interest of children in science subjects is continuously increasing in government and non-government schools of the state. This is the reason why in many schools where only arts was taught, now science is also being taught. On this occasion, Council’s Project Scientist Mandakini Thakur, Deputy District Education Officer Dheeraj Vashisht, District Coordinator Ashok Kalia, Campus Director Dr. Chandra Mohan, Dr. Jyotsana, Rajendra Madi, Dr. Gaurav Parashar, Lecturers Sandeep Sood, Rajiv Kumar, Neeraj Kanwar. etc. were also present.
