ਜਲੰਧਰ, 16 ਨਵਬੰਰ (ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਹੰਟ)-ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਭਲਾਈ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਬਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਭਵਨ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਅਰਪਰਸਨ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਬਾਲ ਭਲਾਈ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਗਗਨ ਕੁੰਦਰਾ ਬਤੌਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਗਗਨ ਕੁੰਦਰਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਇਹ ਮੇਲਾ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਬਾਲ ਭਲਾਈ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਅਨੇਕਾ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਪ ਮੰਡਲ ਮੈਜਿਸਟਰੇਟ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੋਂ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਲੰਦੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਬਣ ਸਕਣ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਨਰੇਰੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਬਾਲ ਭਲਾਈ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰੰਜਨਾ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਿੱਟ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ, ਲੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਲਿਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ 18 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣਗੇ।

ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਕਿੱਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ.ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਕੈਂਟ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਏ.ਐਨ.ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮ.ਜੀ.ਐਨ. ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ.ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਤਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਮੇਸ਼ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਿਮਰਦੀਪ ਵਲੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਪਭਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ.ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਗੁਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਏ.ਐਨ.ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਤਮੰਨਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਤੇ ਦਸਮੇਸ਼ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਰੂਪਮ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਲੇਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ.ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਸੇਠ ਹੁਕਮ ਚੰਦ ਐਸ.ਡੀ. ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਵੱਯਾ ਜੈਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਜੀ.ਐਨ. ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਗਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਅਵਲਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸਕੱਤਰ,ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਰੈਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਇਦਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ,ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਬੇਰੀ, ਵੀਨੂੰ ਕੰਬੋਜ, ਕਿਮੀ ਜੁਨੇਜਾ, ਸੁਮਨ ਸਰੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

Jalandhar, November 16 (NEWS HUNT)- In a bid to curtail the stubble burning practices in Jalandhar, the district administration has imposed an environmental componsation worth Rs. 16.90 lakh in 676 cases of stubble burning till November, 14.

Acting on Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori’s directions to make Jalandhar free from Stubble burning, joint teams led by SDMs have visited various villages and sensitised farmers to not burn the stubble in their respective sub-division on Tuesday.

The team led by Shahkot SDM Lal Biswas extinguished stubble fire at three places by using the fire brigade on the spot after they spotted stubble burning at Kohar Kalan village and Manakpur village.
Likewise, two awareness camps were held at Sindhar village and Parjian village, to sensitise the farmers against stubble burning by a team led by SDM Nakodar Poonam Singh. Farmers were also informed about various pro-farmers schemes including the use of machinery and equipment to residue stubble.
The stubble fire was also doused at Manakpur village by the team.

Earlier, chairing a meeting with the officials of department concerned, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said it was need of the hour that collective efforts are made to protect environment from the ill-effects of stubble burning. He stated that the red entry was made in khasra girdawri in as many as 608 cases, where stubble burning was confirmed by the field officers.

The DC said that a multi-pronged strategy was being adopted by the authorities to curb such instances ranging from IEC campaign to enforcement drive. He directed the officials to ensure that red entry was made in all instances, where crop residue burning was verified by the competent authorities.
DC Jalandhar further appealed the Farmers to not to resort the the stubble burning practices as the smog from the fire can aggravate problems for the asthma patients who were already suffering from compromised immune system besides other impacts on environment.

The deputy commissioner asked officials to keep a close tab over the farm fire incidents by ensuring physical verification in each case. He informed that a slew of measures were being taken by the administration to provide stubble management equipment to farmers at cheaper rates, especially free of cost to small and marginal farmers across all custom hiring centres. I-Khet app was also launched by the government wherein farmers can check the availability of such machinery at there nearest CHCs, he added.

The DC said that special teams have also been constituted which have been urging farmers to shun the practice on spot and shall be accompanied by the fire tenders in order to stop the fire incidents on spot. He further informed that the teams will provide assistance with the help of Agriculture department to the Farmers on spot for the in-situ management of the paddy residue.

JALANDHAR, NOVEMBER 16 (NEWS HUNT)- Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Tuesday has categorically asked the transporters to ensure availability of sand at cheaper rates as the State Government had already rolled out the Punjab State Sand and Gravel Mining Policy, 2021 to provide sand and gravel at Rs. 5.50/ cubic feet exclusion of transport expenses.
The Sand and Gravel would be sold out at around Rs 15 per cubic feet including the all-transport expenses in the district, DC informed.

Accompanied by the SSP Satinder Singh and officers of Mining Department, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the overcharging in selling of sand would not be acceptable at any cost. The District Administration will initiate action as per law against those found disobeying the directions of State Government in this regard, he added.

While interacting with the transporters involved in sand business, the Deputy Commissioner said when the State had fixed the excavation and loading rates then why the reports of charging exorbitant rates were come to notice of Administration. He said that the relief given by the State should be reached to all stakeholders without any delay otherwise case would be registered against erring transporters. It was need of the hour to implement the new sand rates (Rs. 5.50/ cubic feet) scrupulously to facilitate consumers with affordable prices of sand.
The DC said that Punjab State Sand and Gravel Mining Policy, 2021 had been implemented to provide sand and gravel at Rs. 5.50/ cubic feet. These new rates would go a long way in ensuring sand at cheaper prices, he said adding a slew of measures were being taken by the administration for effective implementation of the new mining policy.

Thori also directed the officials of the mining and irrigation department to install CCTV cameras at all mining sites so as to keep a close tab over the fleecing and overcharging, if any. He stated that joint teams of civil and police administration were also formed which would regularly visit these mining sites and strict action would be taken, if anyone found violating the norms. He also said that an elaborate mechanism was being put up in place to ensure availability of sand at approved rates across the district. He urged the people to inform the administration about overcharging through WhatsApp number 9501799068 for swift action on such instances.

Disclosing more, Executive Engineer Mining Department Gurtej Singh Garcha said that as per new policy the sand shall be provided to the public at Rs. 5.5/cft at mining sites exclusion of transport expenses. He added the department was making all out efforts to benefit people with slashed prices of sand.

ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨੇ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ‘ਚ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੰਨ-ਬਿੰਨ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

Jalandhar 17 November (NEWS HUNT)- For building a Sports Restaurant at Raizada Hansraj Badminton Stadium, Congress MLA from Jalandhar Central constituency Rajinder Beri handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to District Badminton Association (DBA) Secretary and former national player Ritin Khanna here today. The construction work of this restaurant will start in December and the restaurant will start providing services to players in the month of January next year. After the construction of this restaurant, players will get a big relief. With the establishment of the restaurant, the players participating in the tournaments, staying in the hostel and practicing in academy will get hygienic and nutritious food three times a day in the stadium itself.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Beri said that the Punjab government is committed to promote sports. While appreciating the working style of the Interim Committee of the DBA, he said that more the number of players coming in the sports administration will surely raise the standard of sports. While thanking MLA Rajinder Beri, DBA Secretary and former national player Ritin Khanna said that there was a demand for setting up a sports restaurant at Hansraj Badminton Stadium for the past long time. “With the construction of this sports restaurant, the players will get a big boost”, he added.

Khanna informed that arrangements will also be made for packing & take away orders in the restaurant. “Players will be able to enjoy hygienic and nutritious food in the stadium very soon”, he said. The players also thanked MLA Beri for helping District Badminton Association. Municipal Councillor Dr. Jasleen Sethi, Trustee of Improvement Trust Bhupinder Singh Jolly, Sumit Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Ravinder Ravi and Arjun were present on the occasion.
