From Jan 31 No night curfew in Karnataka, schools set to reopen in Bengaluru

Karnataka 29 January (News Hunt)- The Karnataka government decided to lift the night curfew across the state from January 31. As per the new Covid norms, all schools in Bengaluru have been allowed to start offline classes from Monday with strict adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour.

Schools for classes 1 to 9 in Bengaluru Urban district can commence from Monday. Even degree colleges will open in Bengaluru, Primary & Secondary Education Minister B C Nagesh said.

Moreover, hotels, bars and pubs have been allowed to operate with 50 per cent occupancy. However, cinema halls will remain closed. As many as 300 people will be allowed at outdoor weddings, while 200 members are allowed for indoor weddings. People entering Karnataka from Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala will have to produce a Covid negative certificate.
