Namibia scored 163/7 against Sri Lanka with help from Jan Frylinck’s 44 and JJ Smit’s 31*. This proved to be too many for the Asia Cup champions, who were dismissed for 108 in reply.
Bernard Scholtz, David Wiese, Ben Shikongo, and Frylinck all picked up two wickets apiece on Friday as Sri Lanka’s world-class batting line-up failed to fire in a major way.
Skipper Dasun Shanaka (29) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (20) put on some hope for Sri Lanka in the middle overs, when they scored 34 runs. Unfortunately, six of the last seven wickets fell and Sri Lanka ended up on just 65.
