Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal held a meeting with officials of various departments at the District Administrative Complex today for preparations for the Republic Day. Meanwhile, while handing over the duties, he instructed the officials to carry out the responsibility assigned to them with full seriousness and diligence, so that this important day can be celebrated with the spirit of patriotism and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, S. D. M Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains, Superintendent Asha Rani and other officials were also present. The Deputy Commissioner said that like every year this year also on January 26, the district level ceremony related to the Republic Day will be celebrated at Police Line Ground Hoshiarpur. He said that personalities with unique achievements will also be honored on this important day, for which he asked the heads of departments to deliver the list of officers and employees who are performing good services under them to the concerned office on time. While he asked the district police to make proper security arrangements on Republic Day, he also instructed to make adequate arrangements for parking.
Komal Mittal said that in addition to arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, temporary toilets, etc., the health department should also ensure the deployment of a medical team at the venue. He also asked for the practice of different units for the march past to be done during the event. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Education Officer and said that during the ceremony, various school children performed Mass PT. Social and cultural programs will be offered, for which schools offering these programs should be selected from now. He instructed the officials to fulfill the assigned responsibility diligently, so that the Republic Day being celebrated on January 26 can be made memorable. He gave necessary instructions to the officers of the departments regarding the band, tableaus to be taken out by the departments, barricading, distribution of awards, distribution of testimonials, decoration of pandal, rehearsals etc.
