जालंधर की तरफ से आर्ट आफ लिविंग के सहयोग से नशे ख़िलाफ़ अभियान में लाई जायेगी और तेज़ी: अतिरिक्त डिप्टी कमिश्नर
जालंधर, 22 नवम्बर (न्यूज़ हंट)- ज़िला जालंधर की तरफ से ग़ैर सरकारी संगठन आर्ट आफ लिविंग के सहयोग से नशा विरोधी अभियान में और तेज़ी लाई जायेगी। डायरैक्टर सूचना और लोक संपर्क सुमित जारंगल की अध्यक्षता में हुई वीडियो कान्फ़्रेंस में भाग लेते हुए अतिरिक्त डिप्टी कमिश्नर (ज) अमरजीत बैंस ने कहा कि ज़िला प्रशासन जालंधर की तरफ से इस समस्या को जड़ से ख़त्म करने के लिए पहले ही ठोस प्रयास किये जा रहे है। उन्होंने कहा कि डैपो, बड्डी प्रोजेक्टों सहित लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए पहले ही बहु -समर्थकीय रणनीति अपनाई गई है, जिसके अंतर्गत ड्रग अब्यूस प्रीवैंशन अधिकारियों की तरफ से ज़मीनी स्तर पर नशे विरुद्ध जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए आम लोगों तक पहुँच की जाती है।
उन्होंने स्पष्ट कहा कि मिशन रैड्ड स्काई के अंतर्गत नशों पर निर्भर 520 नौजवानों में से 58 को नौकरियों के मौके प्रदान किये गए है, जबकि दूसरे 98 की तरफ से कौशल विकास प्रशिक्षण हासिल किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि नशों पर निर्भर बाकी रहते नौजवानों को जल्दी ही नौकरियों के अवसर प्रदान किये जाएंगे ,जिससे उनको मुख्य धारा में वापस लाया जा सके।
श्री बैंस ने यह भी बताया कि प्रशासन की तरफ से ज़िला जालंधर में 23000 के करीब डैपो ऐनरोल किये गए हैं, जिन की तरफ से शहरी और ग्रामीण दोनों क्षेत्रों में नशे विरुद्ध लोगों में जागरूकता पैदा करने का काम किया जा रहा है।
इस दौरान आर्ट आफ लिविंग के प्रतिनिधियों की तरफ से भी वीडियो कान्फ़्रेंस में पहुँच की गई और पंजाब को नशा मुक्त राज्य बनाने के लिए ज़िला प्रशासन के साथ मिल कर नशा विरोधी अभियान चलाने सम्बन्धित अपने विचार सांझे किये गए।
इस अवसर पर बैठक में अलग -अलग विभागों के प्रतिनिधि भी मौजूद थे।

JALANDHAR ALL SET TO FURTHER INTENSIFY ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN IN COLLABORATION WITH ART OF LIVING- ADC AMARJIT BAINS
JALANDHAR, NOVEMBER 22 (NEWS HUNT)- Giving impetus to its anti-drug campaign, Jalandhar district is all set to further intensify the drive by involving volunteers from NGO Art of Living.
Participating in a video conference chaired by Director Information & Public Relations Sumeet Jarangal, the ADC said that the district administration was already making concerted efforts to wipe out this menace from Jalandhar. He said that a multi-pronged strategy was already adopted to sensitize people including DAPO, Buddy projects where drug abuse prevention officers reach out to masses with an aim to create awareness against drugs at grass route level.
He catagorically mentioned that under mission Red Sky as many as 520 drug-dependent youths; of them 58 were provided with job opportunities while 98 others have been taking skill development training. He added that the remaining drug dependent would soon get the job opportunities so as to bring them back in the mainstream.
Mr. Bains also informed that as many as 23000 DAPO have been enrolled by the administration in Jalandhar district who have been working in both urban and rural areas to spread awareness in masses against drug abuse.
Meanwhile, representatives from Art of Living also joined the Video Conference and shared their vision to carry out the anti-drug drive in partnership with district administration to make Punjab a drug-free state.
On the occasion representatives from various departments were also present in the meeting.
DC TO MAKE PRESENTATION ON JALANDHAR’S ZERO PENDENCY INITIATIVE AT REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF NORTH-EASTERN & EASTERN STATES IN BHUBANESWAR NEXT MONTH
Jalandhar, November 21 (NEWS HUNT)- In a rare distinction, Jalandhar district has been selected to present its zero-pendency initiative at the region conference of twelve states in Bhubaneswar next month where Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori will deliver a keynote speech on Jalandhar administration’s innovation to make citizen’s service delivery system more responsive and effective.
Throwing light on the recent development, the deputy commissioner said that a national level panel has selected Jalandhar’s model for presentation at this prestigious regional conference in which twelve states including eight states of north-eastern and four from eastern region would be participating. Notably, the Jalandhar district was earlier selected for the coveted Prime Minister’s Awards in the category of improving service delivery by entering the final stage of the category.
Describing this as recognition of the administration’s efforts, the DC said that the opportunity to speak and present this project at such a platform was truly a rare feat which would go a long way in further motivating the entire team of Jalandhar administration to go on with such innovations.
Special Secretary to Government of India V. Srinivas in his communiqué has informed the state government that the initiative `zero Pendency’: making the system deliver of district Jalandhar (Punjab) is proposed to be presented in the conference for adaptation, replication and further innovation at larger scale. The state government has nominated Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Ghanshyam Thori to participate and present this innovative idea in the conference which is scheduled to be held on December 3-4, this at Bhubaneswar.
Pertinently, Jalandhar district is leading in Punjab for delivering public services in a stipulated time-frame set up by the government and has the lowest pendency rate hitherto.
The deputy commissioner further mentioned that the district administration during its course to kill the massive pendency has evolved a mechanism to ensure the citizen’s feedback besides monitoring the daily progress of the Sewa Kendras. This mammoth exercise to reduce pendency and implement time-bound delivery of the services was initiated amid the Coronavirus pandemic, he added.
Crediting the entire team of district administration for reducing and maintaining the lowest pendency status in the state for the past few months, the deputy commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that it was because of the hard work and dedication exhibited by officials, which has received recognition at the national level.
The constant monitoring of the functioning and weekly performance review of the Sewa Kendras has helped a lot in ensuring the speedy delivery of the citizen-centric services adding the deputy commissioner said that Sewa Kendras were opened by the State Government to facilitate the people with more than 350 citizen services under one roof.
Pargat promises cities like facilities in villages
Jalandhar, November 21 (NEWS HUNT)- Cabinet Minister Punjab Mr Pargat Singh today said that the state government is committed to provide cities like ultra modren facilities for the rural areas also.
The Minister who distributed grants worth Rs 50 lakh during his whirlwind tour of villages falling in Jalandhar cantt constituency today said that there is no dearth of funds for the development and Punjab government led by Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi is leaving no stone unturned for holistic development of villages. He categorically said that a detailed roadmap has been chalked out to give further filip to ongoing development in urban and rural areas. Mr Pargat Singh said that besides ensuring development efforts are being made to put state on high economic growth trajectory to benefit the people.

Listing the several pro-people initiatives taken by Punjab government, he said that Power bill arrears worth Rs. 1500 crore have been waived, Power rates for domestic consumers have been reduced by Rs. 3 per unit, Bills to the tune of Rs. 1200 crore have been waived off in respect of motors in rural areas, water charges brought down to Rs. 50, Rates for sand have been reduced to Rs. 5.50 per cubic feet and Punjab Government is bearing Rs. 35 as part of cost sharing out of increased Rs. 50 of Sugarcane prices while the private mills now only have to bear Rs. 15. The Minister distributed grants worth Rs 14 lakh in Village Chityani 14 lakh, RS 9 lakh in Village nangal, Rs 9 lakh in Village Usmanpur 9 lakh and Rs 14 lakh in Village phoolpur. भारत में पिछले 24 घंटों में 10,488 नए COVID-19 मामले दर्ज , 313 और मौतें हुईं
देश 21 नवंबर (न्यूज़ हंट)- केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के रविवार को अपडेट किए गए आंकड़ों के अनुसार, भारत का COVID-19 संक्रमण एक दिन में 10,488 बढ़कर 3,45,10,413 हो गया, जबकि इसी अवधि के दौरान सक्रिय मामलों की संख्या घटकर 1,22,714 हो गई।
केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 313 और लोगों की मौत के साथ मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 4,65,662 हो गई।
सक्रिय मामलों में कुल संक्रमणों का 0.36 प्रतिशत शामिल है, जो मार्च 2020 के बाद सबसे कम है। साथ ही, राष्ट्रीय COVID-19 वसूली दर 98.30 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गई, जो पिछले साल मार्च के बाद से सबसे अधिक है, स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने कहा।
दैनिक सकारात्मकता दर 0.98 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गई थी। पिछले 48 दिनों से यह 2 फीसदी से भी कम है। साप्ताहिक सकारात्मकता दर 0.94 प्रतिशत थी। यह पिछले 58 दिनों से दो फीसदी से नीचे है।
बीमारी से स्वस्थ होने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 3,39,22,037 हो गई, जबकि मृत्यु दर 1.35 प्रतिशत थी। राष्ट्रव्यापी COVID-19 टीकाकरण अभियान के तहत अब तक देश में 116.50 करोड़ से अधिक वैक्सीन खुराक दी जा चुकी हैं। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने जोर देकर कहा कि 70 प्रतिशत से अधिक मौतें सहरुग्णता के कारण हुईं।
Punjab issues to be resolved One-By-One, Next Focus On Cable Network: CM Channi
Punjab 20 November (NEWS HUNT)- Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday announced that all issues related to Punjab would be addressed one-by-one with Punjab Government’s next target is ‘cable network’ as action in this regard would be visible soon.
Reiterating his firm resolve of welfare initiatives and schemes, CM Channi said Punjab Government had taken several pro-people steps in significant sectors especially power, making hassle free availability of sand and gravel at affordable rates, reducing petrol and diesel prices, slashing power tariff by Rs.3 per unit. He said that drugs and sacrilege cases were also being taken on priority so that the real culprits could be unmasked and brought to book soon.
Lashing out at Aam Aadmi Party and SAD-BJP alliance for befooling people on power issues, CM Channi said that these parties misled Punjabis with false promises. He said that AAP’s announcement on providing free power was a blatant lie while the SAD was purchasing power @ Rs. 17.38 per whereas the incumbent Punjab Government is procuring power @ Rs. 2.38 to ensure cheaper and quality power supply for consumers. He said that the previous SAD-BJP Government was causing huge loss to state exchequer to the tune of Rs. 1700 crore per annum under the garb of PPAs and solar power agreements, which were scrapped by the present government in larger public interest. Beside cable network, the sacrilege cases are being taken up on top priority, said the CM adding that shortly a concrete action would be initiated so that relief could be provided to common masses as well as to nab real culprits.
Taking a dig at Union Government on three farm laws, CM Channi asserted that the Prime Minister did nothing extraordinary by withdrawing the black laws since this was deliberately much delayed. He said that farmers’ suffered a lot during the agitation and also lost their lives for a genuine cause. He also warned the people to remain vigilant from the nefarious designs of these parties.
Making announcements to further boost infrastructure in Beas, Baba Bakala and adjoining areas, CM Channi said that a ITI is being come up at Beas at a cost of Rs. 10 crore as the construction would be started shortly. He also announced Rs. 10 crore for panchayats of the assembly segment and Rs 5 crore for Nagar Panchayat Baba Bakala for development works. The CM also announced Rs 2 crore for developments works for Rayya besides asking Deputy Commissioner Amritsar to prepare a detailed proposal regarding four lane road connectivity from Rayya to Dera Baba Nanak with reasonable rate of land against acquisition. The sheds for Baba Bakala and Sathiala Mandis have also been announced besides giving nod to 10 km long road stretches in the area and a stadium at a suitable place.
Channi also listed several landmark decisions including nearly Rs. 1500 crore waiver of electricity bills arrears of consumers having load of 2KW, slashing power tariff to Rs 3 per unit etc.
