Ashok Koul releases BJP calendar

Jammu (News Hunt)-Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, along with BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, Publication Department Incharge Rajnish Jain, Literature Department Incharge Pawan Sharma, former MLC Vikram Randhawa and State Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, released party’s calendar for the year 2024.

Ashok Koul, while briefing about the salient features of the calendar, said that it will not only have mention of holidays of all the twelve months like other calendars but carry dates in separate column of national holidays and party’s six important festivals. He said that the calendar will be distributed among the party cadre upon booth level so that the festivals of the party remain in their minds and are celebrated.

Ashok Koul said, while the BJP celebrates Republic Day on January 26, it also organizes colourful programmes on another national festival, the Independence Day on August 15. Similarly, the party’s six festivals include Samarpan divas on the martyr day of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay on February 11, BJP Foundation Day on April 06, Samrasta Divas on April 14, on  Ambedkar Jayanti, June 23 as Balidan divas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday on September 23, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Jayanti on September 25, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 02, Khel Divas on Pt. Premnath Dogra Jayanti on October 24, J&K’s Accession Day on October 26 and Good Governance Day on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Jayanti on September 25, besides other days when supreme sacrifices were made by the Bravehearts to save the society and the nation.

Pawan Sharma, on this occasion, said that the BJP comes out with its calendar every year. The main objective of preparing and releasing the calendar is to provide adequate space for the publication of party’s festivals and national festivals. He said that this year’s calendar has a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s symbol, the Lotus.

Rajnish Jain said that the calendar would keep reminding the party cadre about the important days to be observed and celebrated as festivals in honour of the great legends.
