होशियारपुर के मिथुन ने हासिल किया स्वर्ण, अन्य खिलाड़ीयों ने अर्जित किए 4 कांस्य पदक
होशियारपुर 13 जनवरी (न्यूज़ हंट) भाजपा के पूर्व राज्यसभा सांसद अविनाश राय खन्ना जो कि पैरालंपिक कमेटी आफ इंडिया के चीफ पैट्रन का दायित्व भी निभा रहे हैं ने गोवा राज्य के पनजी में हो रही 22वीं नैश्नल एथलैटिक्स चैम्पियनशिप 2024 में पंजाब के पैरा खिलाड़ीयों द्वारा अपनी खेल प्रतिभा का शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए अब तक 5 पदक हासिल करने तथा होशियारपुर के मुकेरियां निवासी मिथुन द्वारा स्वर्ण पदक पर कब्जा जमाकर पंजाब के साथ साथ होशियारपुर का नाम रोशन करने के लिए प्रदेशवासियों को बधाई दी।
इस मौके खन्ना ने बताया कि गोवा में पंजाब का डंका बजाते हुए पंजाबी पैरा खिलाड़ीयों ने अब तक 5 पदक हासिल किए हैं जिनमें होशियारपुर के मिथुन ने 400 मी. दौड़ में स्वर्ण, दर्शना देवी ने शाऊटपुट में कांस्य, जसविंदर सिंह ने 400 मी. दौड़ में कांस्य, आन्या बंसल ने शाऊटपुट में कांस्य, विवेक शर्मा ने 100मी दौड़ में कांस्य पदक हासिल कर पंजाब का गौरव बढ़ाया है। खन्ना ने कहा कि उन्हें पूरा विश्वास है कि आगे के मुकाबलों में भी पंजाब के खिलाड़ी शानदार प्रदर्शन कर पंजाब के ताज के पदकों से सजाएंगे।
कैबिनेट मंत्री जिंपा व डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने चिल्ड्रन होम में बच्चों के साथ मनाई लोहड़ी
होशियारपुर, 13 जनवरी: कैबिनेट मंत्री पंजाब ब्रम शंकर जिंपा ने प्रदेश वासियों को लोहड़ी की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए परमात्मा से कामना की कि यह त्यौहार सभी के लिए खुशियां लेकर आए और समाज में फैली बुराईयां खत्म हो। वे आज जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी की ओर से चिल्ड्रन होम राम कालोनी कैंप में आयोजित लोहड़ी समागम में बच्चों के साथ लोहड़ी मनाने के बाद पत्रकारों से बातचीत कर रहे थे। इस दौरान उनके साथ डिप्टी कमिश्नर कोमल मित्तल व रैड क्रास सोसायटी के सचिव मंगेश सूद भी मौजूद थे।
कैबिनेट मंत्री ने इस दौरान जिला रैड क्रास सोसायटी के कार्यों की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि सोसायटी की ओर से यहां अक्सर बच्चों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए आयोजन किए जाते हैं, जिससे बच्चों का मनोबल बढ़ता है। उन्होंने कहा कि इसी कड़ी में आज लोहड़ी उत्सव का आयोजन किया गया है, जिस दौरान चिल्ड्रन होम के सभी बच्चों को लोहड़ी के शगुन के तौर पर 200-200 रुपए, गर्म स्पोर्ट्स शूज, स्कूल बैग, ड्राइंग बुक, कलर्स, नोट बुक, लंच बाक्स, वाटर बोतल, गर्म जुराबें भेंट की गई। उन्होंने अन्य समाज सेवी संस्थाओं को भी आह्वान किया कि वे राम कालोनी कैंप स्थित चिल्ड्रन होम व ओल्ड एज होम में आकर अपने खुशी के दिन व त्यौहार मनाएं ताकि यहां रहने वाले बच्चों व बुजुर्गों को अपनत्व का एहसास हो।
इस मौके पर आज्ञा पाल सिंह साहनी, राजेश जैन, राजीव बजाज, आदित्य राणा, सर्बजीत सिंह के अलावा अन्य गणमान्य भी मौजूद थे।

Ashok Koul releases BJP calendar
Jammu (News Hunt)-Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, along with BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, Publication Department Incharge Rajnish Jain, Literature Department Incharge Pawan Sharma, former MLC Vikram Randhawa and State Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, released party’s calendar for the year 2024.
Ashok Koul, while briefing about the salient features of the calendar, said that it will not only have mention of holidays of all the twelve months like other calendars but carry dates in separate column of national holidays and party’s six important festivals. He said that the calendar will be distributed among the party cadre upon booth level so that the festivals of the party remain in their minds and are celebrated.
Ashok Koul said, while the BJP celebrates Republic Day on January 26, it also organizes colourful programmes on another national festival, the Independence Day on August 15. Similarly, the party’s six festivals include Samarpan divas on the martyr day of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay on February 11, BJP Foundation Day on April 06, Samrasta Divas on April 14, on Ambedkar Jayanti, June 23 as Balidan divas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday on September 23, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Jayanti on September 25, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 02, Khel Divas on Pt. Premnath Dogra Jayanti on October 24, J&K’s Accession Day on October 26 and Good Governance Day on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Jayanti on September 25, besides other days when supreme sacrifices were made by the Bravehearts to save the society and the nation.
Pawan Sharma, on this occasion, said that the BJP comes out with its calendar every year. The main objective of preparing and releasing the calendar is to provide adequate space for the publication of party’s festivals and national festivals. He said that this year’s calendar has a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s symbol, the Lotus.
Rajnish Jain said that the calendar would keep reminding the party cadre about the important days to be observed and celebrated as festivals in honour of the great legends.
BJP concludes ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyan’ on Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary
Jammu (News Hunt)- On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the great son of the soil, Swami Vivekanand, Jammu and Kashmir BJP concluded its two and half month programmes of ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyaan’ on Friday at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP State president Ravinder Raina, General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul and State General Secretary & former MLC Vibodh Gupta laid wreaths on the portrait of Swami Vivekanand and paid rich tributes to the great ideologue and youth icon. They also addressed a large gathering of the party activists of 25-40 years of age, who have rendered their services at the booth levels as main speakers in the ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyaan” programmes during the last two and half months from October 24 to January 12, this month.
Ravinder Raina, while paying tributes to Swami Vivekanand, said that he was an institution in himself, who devoted his life to inspire youth to be part of nation building and strengthening the social fabric in society. Raina asked the youth to follow the life of Swami Vivekanand and adopt his principles in life.
Ravinder Raina also applauded the splendid performance of the main speakers in the ‘Booth Jan Samvad’ programmes across the Jammu and Kashmir UT.
Ashok Koul, on this occasion, spoke on the future programmes and stressed that the youth have an important role in reaching the people at their doorsteps and garnering public support for the party. He said that the main speakers in the ‘Booth Jan Samvad’ programmes have to remain in touch with the people at the booth level and keep sharing the splendid works of the Modi government.
Vibodh Gupta, also State Incharge of ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyaan’, gave a clarion call to rise, follow the target and not rest it till the goal is achieved. He said that the youth is a great strength, full of enthusiasm and ever ready to take on challenges in life. They must always be in working mode at the front and contribute in fulfilling the mission of Viksit Bharat by 2047, the target set by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that it becomes all the more imperative on the youth to take India from Amrit Kal to Swarn Kal, an era of complete development, peace, progress and prosperity. He also counted a number of mega projects of Narendra Modi government, which have the potential of bringing vast changes in infrastructure and public welfare.
