NCW launches a series of awareness programmes on NRI marriages in Punjab
Programs aim to disseminate information on possible risks involved in NRI marriages, to create awareness around preventive measures and legal remedies available for the victims
National Commission for Women (NCW) launched a series of ‘Awareness Programmes on NRI Marriages: Do’s and Don’ts, A Way Forward’ across different districts of Punjab to disseminate information on the possible risks involved in NRI marriages and to create awareness around preventive measures and legal remedies available for victims. Ms Rekha Sharma, Chairperson, NCW, Shri Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Minister of NRI Affairs, Government of Punjab, Prof Arvind, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University and Ms Meeta Rajiv Lochan, Member Secretary, NCW graced the occasion.
The awareness programs are being held in collaboration with the Department of Law, Panjab University and in association with SGPC, Punjab State Legal Service Authority, Punjabi University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Panchayats, NGOs and the local police.
G20 Sherpa meeting in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia
India’s G20 Sherpa Shri Amitabh Kant led an Indian delegation to the second G20 Sherpa meeting convened by Indonesia in Labuan Bajo on 10-11 July 2022. The first Sherpa meeting under the Indonesian G20 Presidency was held on 7-8 December 2021.
The G20 Sherpa meeting reviewed the progress made under various Working Groups of the G20 Sherpa Track. In his interventions in various sector-specific sessions (Health, Agriculture, Tourism, Digital Economy, Education, Employment, Trade-Investment-Industry, Energy, Environment & Climate, Development, Anti-Corruption and Empower), Shri Amitabh Kant reaffirmed India’s steadfast support for Indonesia during its G20 Presidency, outlined India’s achievements and experiences, and called for addressing global challenges in an inclusive, forward-looking and cooperative manner.
He emphasized the importance of all G20 members collectively addressing health, food and energy security challenges expeditiously, in an urgent, cooperative, non-politicized and equitable manner. He spoke about the need to protect and promote the interests of small and marginal farmers, and to mainstream sustainability into the tourism sector.
He highlighted the importance of data and digitalization for development, empowerment, financial inclusion, capacity building and sustainable job creation. On disaster risk, climate and environmental issues, he called for the development and climate discourse to be considered holistically, on an equal footing, to ensure just transitions. He highlighted the rapid strides made by India in scaling up renewable energy and reiterated India’s COP 26 commitments. On migration issues, he emphasized the need to further deepen international engagement and facilitate safe, orderly and regular migration.
G20 Sherpa Shri Amitabh Kant also held bilateral interactions on the sidelines with all his G20 counterparts, guest countries and participating international organizations. In these meetings, he shared India’s thinking on global issues and our forthcoming G20 Presidency and discussed ways to further support the Indonesian Presidency to achieve its outcomes.
Logo and Race t-shirt unveiled for NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022
The NMDC and Hyderabad Runners Society along with IDFC First Bank and the Government of Telangana launched the logo and unveiled the race t-shirt for the 2022 edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon yesterday. The national mining major, NMDC has taken up the Title of Sponsorship of the Hyderabad Marathon to be held on the 27th and 28th of August this year. The Face of NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022 – Ms Nikhat Zareen, World Champion Boxer virtually connected to the event. Shri Sumit Deb CMD, NMDC; Shri Naarayan TV, CMO, IDFC FIRST Bank; and Race Director Mr Prashant Morparia were present during the launch ceremony and ensuing Press Meet.
The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022 and curtain-raiser will run through the heart of the city anticipates 15,000 runners, and health and fitness enthusiasts taking part and will engage 3500 volunteers, 250 medical personnel, city officials and the police force. Marking the beginning of marathon season in India, a curtain-raiser – 5K Fun Run will be held on Saturday, August 27th and the 10K, Half Marathon (21.095 km) and Full Marathon (42.195 km) will take place on August 28th 2022, the Marathon Sunday.
Connecting to the event via Video Conference, Ms Nikhat Zareen said “I am happy to be associated with the 11th Edition of NMDC Hyderabad Marathon supported by Hyderabad Runners. India’s Public Service Broadcaster Launches New Logo
Prasar Bharati India’s public broadcaster unveiled its new logo on 11th July 2022 & with that added a new chapter in its glorious history.
The new logo was released by Secretary I&B Shri Apurva Chandra, in the presence of CEO Prasar Bharati Shri Mayank Kumar Agrawal, Prasar Bharati, Member (Finance) Shri DPS Negi, and senior officers of the Ministry of I&B and Prasar Bharati.The new logo of Prasar Bharti is replete with rich meaning. In the new logo symbol for Prasar Bharati, an autonomous statutory body under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the elements in the central circle and map of India signify the service of trust, security, and perfection for the common man. The organization started as All India Radio (AIR) in the past and Doordarshan (DD) was born to cater to television services later and finally came Prasar Bharati (PB) by the enactment of an act by the parliament, which is visualized in the logo identity as emerging and evolving from the centre.
While the elements in the central circle and map of India signify the service of trust, security and perfection to the Nation, its colour, ‘Dark Moderate Blue’ represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence. The colour blue also pays tribute to the Indian ethos and traditions associated with religious figures, and mythological characters found in the Indian miniature paintings.
On the occasion of the unveiling of the new logo, Prasar Bharti’s Member (Personnel) Shri DPS Negi opined that in the earlier format, the corporate office of Prasar Bharati used both AIR and Doordarshan logos on both the sides of the written text ‘PRASAR BHARATI’ along with the Indian emblem in the middle. Inspired by the identities of both AIR and Doordarshan, the new logo of Prasar Bharati is defined as a blend of both AIR and Doordarshan. It not only encloses the elements from their visual identities but also leverages their colour combinations, to complement the identity of PB as a public service broadcaster.
Headquartered in New Delhi, Prasar Bharati is a statutory autonomous body set up by an Act of Parliament. It comprises the Doordarshan Television Network and All India Radio (AIR), which were earlier media units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

ट्विटर यूजर शांतनु ने एक मजाकिया ट्वीट करते हुए कहा कि उन्हें पता है कि उम्र बढ़ने के साथ वह क्यूट होते जा रहे हैं लेकिन उन्हें नहीं पता था कि इंडिगो इसके लिए चार्ज लेगी। शांतनु ने इस पोस्ट के साथ एक स्क्रीनशॉट भी डाला जिसमें IndiGo एयरलाइंस ने फ्लाइट टिकट में CUTE चार्ज के नाम से 100 रुपये जोड़े थे। शांतनु का यह ट्वीट वायरल होते ही लोगों ने अपने-अपने अंदाज में मजे लेने शुरू कर दिए। एक यूजर ने रिप्लाई किया कि उनसे भी CUTE चार्ज लिया गया जबकि उन्हें कोई भी क्यूट नहीं कहता। एक यूजर ने कहा कि अगर क्यूट फीस से बचना है तो एयरपोर्ट पर फेस मास्क लगाकर जाओ।

इंडिगो ने किया यह रिप्लाई
शांतनु का ट्वीट वायरल होने के बाद कई और यूजर्स पूछना शुरू कर दिया कि यह 'क्यूट फीस' क्या है। हालांकि इंडिगो ने इसपर अधिक स्पष्टता देने के लिए कहा कि CUTE चार्ज एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया लेती है और इसका आप कैसे दिखते हैं इससे कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।
क्या है CUTE चार्ज
क्यूट चार्ज का मतलब वास्तविकता में कॉमन यूजर टर्मिनल इक्विपमेंट (CUTE) होता है। इसे एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (AAI) लेता है। AAI चुनिंदा एयरपोर्ट पर मेटल डिटेक्टर, एस्केलेटर आदि के इस्तेमाल किए लगाती है। यह बिल्कुल सामान्य सा चार्ज है जो हर पैसेंजर्स को देना होता है।

न्यूज हंट. नई दिल्ली : सुनील शेट्टी की बेटी और अभिनेत्री अथिया शेट्टी (Athiya Shetty) क्रिकेटर केएल राहुल (Cricketer KL Rahul) को लंबे समय से डेट कर रही हैं। दोनों अक्सर साथ में घूमते-फिरते स्पॉट होते रहते हैं। अथिया और केएल राहुल के घरवालों को भी इन दोनों की जोड़ी काफी पसंद हैं। अब खबरें आ रही हैं कि अथिया और केएल राहुल शादी के लिए तैयार हैं और बस कुछ ही महीनों में दोनों सात फेरे लेने वाले हैं।
सूत्रों की माने तो अथिया शेट्टी और केएल राहुल 3 महीनों के भीतर ही शादी करने वाले हैं। अभिनेत्री अथिया के करीबी सूत्रों ने एक अंग्रेज़ी पत्रिका को बताया कि केएल राहुल और अथिया एक-दूसरे को करीब तीन साल से डेट कर रहे हैं और अब वे तीन महीनों में शादी करने वाले हैं। दोनों के शादी की तैयारी खूब जोरो शोरो से चल रही हैं।

सूत्र ने बातचीत में कहा, ‘राहुल के माता-पिता हाल ही में अथिया के परिवार से मिलने के लिए मुंबई आए थे। अथिया और केएल राहुल ने अपने परिवार के साथ अपना नया घर भी देखने गए। जहां वे शादी के बाद सेटल होने की सोच रहे हैं। शादी अगले तीन महीनों में मुंबई में होने की उम्मीद है। यह दोनों ही परिवारों के लिए एक ग्रैंड सेलिब्रेशन होगा और शादी से जुड़ी हर तैयारी की देख- रेख दुल्हन अथिया खुद कर रही हैं।”
अथिया शेट्टी ने अपने फिल्मी करियर की शुरुआत निखिल अडवाणी की फिल्म ‘हीरो’ से की थी। इस फिल्म में उनके साथ सूरज पंचोली नजर आए थे। यह सूरज की भी डेब्यू फिल्म थी। इसके बाद अथिया नवाजुद्दीन सिद्दीकी के साथ फिल्म ‘मोतीचूर चकनाचूर’ में नजर आई थीं।
नशे के खिलाफ मुहिम में पंजाब पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता, गुजरात की मदद से मुंद्रा पोर्ट पर पकड़ी 75 किलो हेरोइन
न्यूज हंट. चंडीगढ़ : डायरैक्टर जनरल ऑफ पुलिस (DGP) पंजाब गौरव यादव ने आज यहाँ बताया कि यूएई से पंजाब में हैरोइन की तस्करी (Heroin Smuggling) संबंधी ख़ुफिय़ा सूचना मिलने के बाद पंजाब पुलिस की टीमों ने एटीएस गुजरात और केंद्रीय एजेंसियों के साथ साझे ऑपरेशन के दौरान गुजरात के मुन्द्रा बंदरगाह (Mundra Port) में एक कंटेनर में से 75 किलोग्राम हैरोइन (Heroin) बरामद की है।
नशीले पदार्थ को एक गत्ते की पाईप, जिसको आगे एक बड़ी प्लास्टिक पाईप के ज़रिये छुपाया गया था, का प्रयोग करके बिना सिले कपड़ों के एक कंटेनर में छुपाकर रखा गया था। कंटेनर, जोकि यूएई के जेबल अली बंदरगाह से लोड किया गया था, को मलेरकोटला, पंजाब के एक इम्पोटर द्वारा मंगवाया गया था।
डीजीपी ने बताया कि प्राथमिक जांच के दौरान यह पाया गया कि कंटेनर के पंजाब से सम्बन्धित होने के कारण ऐसा लगता है कि यह खेप पंजाब के रास्ते किसी अन्य जगह पहुंचायी जानी थी। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि इसके पंजाब से संबंधों का पता लगाने के लिए जांच की जा रही है।
यह बरामदगी पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान के दिशा-निर्देशों पर नशों के विरुद्ध शुरु की गई जंग के दौरान एक बड़ी सफलता के रूप में सामने आई है।

और विवरणों का खुलासा करते हुए डीजीपी गौरव यादव ने बताया कि जानकारी मिलने के बाद पंजाब पुलिस के स्टेट स्पेशल ऑपरेशन सैल (एस.एस.ओ.सी.) एस.ए.एस. नगर ने तुरंत पुलिस टीमों को गुजरात भेजा और मुन्द्रा बंदरगाह पर तैनात किया।
उन्होंने बताया कि केंद्रीय एजेंसी और एटीएस गुजरात के साथ तालमेल के ज़रिये कस्टम की मदद से मुन्द्रा बंदरगाह पर तलाशी ली गई। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि उपयुक्त प्रक्रिया और दस्तावेज़ी कार्यवाही के बाद कंटेनर को खोला गया, जिसमें 75 किलो हैरोइन की बड़ी बरामदगी हुई। पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित बनाने और एनडीपीएस एक्ट के दिशा-निर्देशों की पालना के लिए कस्टम अधिकारियों और मैजिस्ट्रेट की उपस्थिति में खेप को खोला गया।
अगले और पिछले संबंधों का पता लगाने के लिए इस खेप के साथ संबंधों के शक में मलेरकोटला और लुधियाना के कुछ संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों को सम्बन्धित जि़ला पुलिस द्वारा पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया गया है।
जि़क्रयोग्य है कि इस सम्बन्धी एटीएस गुजरात द्वारा पुलिस स्टेशन एटीएस अहमदाबाद में एनडीपीएस एक्ट की धारा 8सी, 21सी, 23सी और 29 के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है।
