DISTRICT LEVEL EXPERT COMMITTEES TO BE FORMED FOR BRINGING REFORMS IN EDUCATION SECTOR- PARGAT SINGH

Jalandhar, December 10 (NEWS HUNT)- Punjab Education & Sports Minister Pargat Singh today said that the state government was mulling to form district level expert panels to bring about major reforms in the education sector so that our young generations get the best education for better employability.

Addressing a gathering here at ApeeJay Institute of Management & Technology after inaugurating annual festival pinnacle-2021, the minister said that the local committees would finalize modalities for the up gradation of existing curriculum in schools and colleges keeping in view the demand of Industry. He said that these committees would prove to be a boon for the holistic development of students through their recommendations for modernization of educational infrastructure in the state.

Describing private educational institutions as the back-bone for making the field of education in-tune with the contemporary times, he said that it was hard to achieve this progress without the help of the private sector. However, he asserted the need for bringing uniformity among private and government institutions by bringing them at a single platform where they could envisage progress in this pious field. He also lauded the efforts of ApeeJay group for imparting top-class education among students while offering fulsome support to the group in its future ventures.

Terming Punjab a progressive state in the field of education, the minister lambasted those making fun of Punjab’s education system for their political gains. He said that Punjab has been a frontrunner in the education sector and more efforts were being made to further elevate this segment. In his address the minister also highlighted the need for physical activities in the present times to keep diseases at bay as only a healthy society has the ability to put the country on high-growth trajectory.

Earlier, Director of the institute Rajesh Bagga, Member Board of Governance Nirmal Mahajan, Director Apeejay Education Dr. Sucharita Sharma also welcomed the cabinet minister and hailed his efforts to transform the education sector for the betterment of the society.
