होशियारपुर (न्यूज़ हंट)-जिला क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन होशियारपुर ने रेलवे मंडी की ग्राउंड में बनाई गई नई क्रिकेट पिचों का आगाज करवाया गया। जानकारी देते हुए जिला क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन के सचिव डा. रमन घई ने बताया कि आज होशियारपुर वूमैन टीम व अंडर-16 लडक़ों के बीच मैच करवाया गया। जिसमें पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए लडक़ों ने 25 ओवरों में 121 रन बनाए और पारथ शर्मा ने 52, युद्धवीर सिंह ने 21 रन बनाए। वूमैन टीम की तरफ से गेंदबाजी करते हुए सूरभी ने 3, अंजली ने 2 व शिवानी ने 2 खिलाडिय़ों को आऊट किया। लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए वूमैन टीम 25 ओवरों में मात्र 117 रन ही बना पाई। जिसमें नारंका ने 27, अंजली शिमर ने 26 रनों का योगदान दिया। लडक़ों की टीम की तरफ से गेंदबाजी करते हुए केशव ने 3, मन्नण ने 2 व प्रांजल ने 2 विकेट हासिल किए। इस मौके पर विशेष तौर पर पहुंचे एसडीएम ओजस्व अलंकार ने खिलाडिय़ों से परिचय करते हुए उन्हें भविष्य के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएं दी। इस अवसर पर एचडीसीए के अध्यक्ष डा. दलजीत खेला ने समूह एसोसिएसन की तरफ से खिलाडिय़ों को शुभकामनाएं दी। इस मौके पर डा. रमन घई ने एसडीएम का पहुंचने पर स्वागत करते हुए उनको स्मृति चिन्ह देकर ोसम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर जिला कोच दलजीत सिंह, पूर्व राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटर व जिला ट्रेनर कुलदीप धामी, कोच दलजीत धीमान, वूमैन कोच दविंदर कौर, पंकज शर्मा, विवेक शर्मा, करन शर्मा, कुलवीर, हैप्पी, हरविंदर सिंह व आदि मौजूद थे।

Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma inaugurates PCB Recycling facility at C-MET, Hyderabad
Indigenously developed e-waste recycling technology gives a fillip to India’s Mission to Atmanirbharata and circular economy – Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma
The Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma inaugurated 1Ton/day PCB Recycling facility at the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), in Hyderabad Yesterday.
Talking on the occasion, Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma mentioned that a circular economy approach towards e-waste management will play an important role in resource efficiency, reduction in pollution, recovery of precious materials and minimization of health hazards. He said that Ministry has introduced the SPECS scheme for helping e-waste recycling industries to set up their plant in India instead of sending the e-waste materials outside for recycling. He also said that the indigenously developed e-waste recycling technologies will give a fillip to India’s Mission to Atmanirbharata and circular economy.
Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) is an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. It is having three R&D laboratories located at Hyderabad, Pune & Thrissur focusing on different thrust areas on critical electronic materials. C-MET, Hyderabad lab is focused on the development of high-purity, semiconductors and strategic materials including metals and alloys.
One of the major thrust areas of C-MET, Hyderabad is to develop environmentally benign e-waste recycling technologies to promote resource efficiency and a circular economy in the country. India generates around 3.2 million Tons per year of electronic waste which contains many precious materials like Gold, Palladium, Silver etc. in addition to hazardous materials which can cause irreparable health hazards to human beings. In this context, the development of environmentally benign process to address those issues are of paramount importance.
C-MET has established the Center of Excellence (CoE) on E-waste Management first of its kind in the country under the PPP model. CoE on E-waste management has developed all varieties of e-waste recycling technologies viz. spent PCB, Li-Ion Battery, Permanent magnet and Si-solar cells etc. The PCB recycling technology developed by CoE is at the Technology Readiness Level 6 stage and is now ready for commercialization. C-MET has not only developed recycling technologies but also designed and fabricated necessary processing equipment for the same.
Mahanadi Coalfields Constructs Fascinating Eco-park & Coal Museum in Odisha
Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), the premier CPSE under the Ministry of Coal is constantly attaining new heights in coal production and off-take through environ-friendly and sustainable mining practices. The latest achievement of MCL in this direction is the development of Chandra Shekar Azad eco-park and Coal Museum at mine No.4 of Orient Area in Ib Valley Coalfields, Jharsuguda, Odisha. The Eco-park is situated at Gandghora village on the side of Jharsuguda-Raigarh National Highway 49.
The enchanting eco-park with lush green landscape, coal café and a children’s park was constructed by MCL in a record time after repurposing coal mine No.4 that closed production in 2017. The foundation stone for the park was laid in 2021 by the Union Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs Sh Pralhad Joshi. The park also provides an opportunity to have firsthand experience of an underground mine to visitors.
The Coal Museum inside the park is a perfect glimpse of the history and legacy of coal mining in India. Working models of different machines and vehicles used in Under Ground and Open Cast mines are on display. Coal Mining equipment/machines on display include surface miner, dumper, crane, tipper, dozer, belt conveyor, coal cutting machine, drill machine and backhoe to name a few.
Engaged in coal mining activities in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda and Angul districts of Odisha, MCL has backfilled and reclaimed at least 2000 hectares of completely utilized land so far. Many quarry voids have been developed into water bodies for rainwater harvesting, in line with sustainable mining practices.
