New Delhi 14 february (News Hunt)- The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday (February 14) further relaxed curbs implemented due to coronavirus.
All educational institutions, gyms and cinema halls will reopen in the state from February 17 in the wake of a steep decline in Covid-19 cases. The step to reopen schools and other educational institutions comes as various states have restarted physical classes as daily Covid-19 cases fall.
New Delhi, February 13 (News Hunt)- The Covid pandemic continued to contract on Sunday with daily cases falling below 50,000 for the first time in 40 days. India reported 44,877 infections, with active cases falling to 5,37,045.
In another milestone, more than 70 per cent of adolescents aged between 15 and 18 years received the first dose of vaccine. “Young India further strengthens the world’s largest vaccination drive. More than 70 per cent of our youngsters in the 15-18 age group have received their first dose,” Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Twitter.
The last rites of veteran industrialist and Padma Bhushan-awardee Rahul Bajaj were performed in Pune today with full state honours and with representatives of India Inc, politicians and common people.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced that Rahul Bajaj’s funeral will be held on Sunday with full state honours.The last rites of the former Bajaj Group chairman were performed by Rahul Bajaj’s sons Rajeev and Sanjiv at the electric crematorium at Vaikunth Smashanbhoomi in Pune. The mortal remains of Bajaj have been kept at his residence premises (Bajaj Plant) in Akurdi in Pimpri-Chinchwad city in Pune district so that people can pay their last homage.
Earlier today, the mortal remains of industrialist Rahul Bajaj were brought to his residence and preparations are underway for his last rites. Bajaj, the Chairman Emeritus of the Bajaj Group, breathed his last in a private hospital here on Saturday due to illness. He was 83. NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray among others paid homage to the industrial tycoon. Bajaj was the man behind the iconic ‘Bajaj’ brand that grew with the aspirations of the middle class in a pre-liberalised India.

10 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਮਾਨੀਟਰਿੰਗ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਗੇਤੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਗੜ੍ਹਸ਼ੰਕਰ, ਮੁਕੇਰੀਆਂ, ਦਸੂਹਾ ਤੇ ਚੱਬੇਵਾਲ ਲਈ ਰਿਆਤ-ਬਾਹਰਾ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਵਿਚ ਈ.ਵੀ.ਐਮ. ਸਟਰਾਂਗ ਰੂਮ ਤੇ ਕਾਊਂਟਿੰਗ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜਦਕਿ ਮਲਟੀ ਸਕਿੱਲ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਚੁਰਾਸੀ ਤੇ ਪੰਡਤ ਜਗਤਰਾਮ ਬਹੁਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਉੜਮੁੜ ਦਾ ਈ.ਵੀ.ਐਮ. ਸਟਰਾਂਗ ਰੂਮ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਪਨੀਤ ਰਿਆਤ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਧਰੂਮਨ ਐਚ. ਨਿੰਬਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 20 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਚ 1111 ਸਥਾਨ ’ਤੇ 1563 ਪੋÇਲੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ 139 ਸੁਪਰਵਾਈਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਚ 12,87,837 ਵੋਟਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ 6,62,641 ਪੁਰਸ਼, 6,25,154 ਮਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ 42 ਥਰਡ ਜੈਂਡਰ ਵੋਟਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।

(ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਸ਼ਿਵਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੱਲ, ਦਸੂਹਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਰਣਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਕੇਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਕੰਵਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੜ੍ਹਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s active coronavirus caseload now stands at 5,37,045 and currently comprises 1.26% of the total infections.
New Delhi 12 february (News Hunt)- The University Grants Commission (UGC), the higher education regulatory body in India, has directed the colleges and universities to reopen campuses for classes and examinations in offline, online or in blended mode following Covid protocols.
“Keeping in view the situation of COVID-19 in their respective region, the HEIs may open campuses; conduct classes and examinations in offline / online / blended mode following COVID Appropriate Behavior and necessary protocols/guidelines/directions/advisories issued by the Central/State Governments or competent authorities from time to time,” a UGC statement said.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the commission has issued several guidelines with respect to the academic calendar, examinations, re-opening of institutions, standard operating procedures (SOPs) for conduct of examinations amid lockdown.
12 February (News Hunt)- Veteran industrialist and head of the Bajaj group, Rahul Bajaj, passed away on Saturday.
Bajaj, 83, who had pneumonia and also a heart problem, was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic a month ago and breathed his last at 2.30 pm on Saturday.“It is with deep sorrow that I inform you about the passing away of Rahul Bajaj, husband of the late Rupa Bajaj and father of Rajiv and Deepa, Sanjiv and Shefali and Sunaina and Manish. He passed away on the afternoon of February 12, 2022 in the presence of his closest family members,” said a statement from Bajaj group.
Chandigarh, February 12 (News Hunt)- Chandigarh reported 87 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a bulletin from the UT’s administration showed on Saturday. The UT’s active cases stand at 686. The bulletin recorded two deaths—a 70-year-old unvaccinated who suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and a 28-year-old woman who was brought dead and tested positive posthumously. She had taken only one shot of the Covid vaccine, the bulletin showed.
Chandigarh’s daily positivity rate currently stands at 3.22 per cent. Its total fatality count since the pandemic in 2020 began is 1,151.
New Delhi 12 february (News Hunt)- India reported 50,407 fresh Covid cases in in the last 24 hours, 13% lower than yesterday. The daily positivity rate dropped marginally to 3.48 per cent.India’s active caseload currently stands at 6,10,443. Active cases are 1.43% of the total Covid infections in the country. After a surge of infections in January led by the new Covid variant Omicron, cases are on a decline in most states in India.
